I am now retired, but most recently I was a software engineer working for
Infor, a global business software company, and living in Madison, Wisconsin.
The focus of my career was mostly user interface development, a facet that most
techie geeks dismiss as 'bit fiddling,' but which of course, is of utmost concern to users
of software.
I also had a brief career in the family newspaper business with my father in Blue Earth,
Minnesota. I served as editor, reporter, photographer, columnist and 'mail room assistant.'
And I briefly dabbled in politics, serving on a U.S. Senate campaign staff.
My columns
I've been collecting movies for awhile, have toyed with playing the piano off and on
over the years, though I sold our piano before the move to Las Vegas (and now trying to take it
up again in retirement on an electric keyboard), and think that baseball is the sport (S)He
intended us to play and watch.
